After waiting 24 days to see when I would have a 2nd chance to link my Twitter, Facebook accounts to my show, Tuning in with Betsy, today, July 21, 2011 was my lucky day.  I broadcast my podcast at 4:30 with a brief 15 minute show about the power of words.  Yes, you can bless, or curse your life with your mind, mouth and words.  Better to be positive and say only pleasant niceties about people, school, work, your profession, your hobby, your frenemies, friends and everyone else that comes into your aura.

It's finally here, my very first book signing at Indigo Books, in Stoney Creek, Ontario, just down the road from Toronto.  Thank you to Anayis Terzian, who has coordinated the event with me.

I will give a brief talk at 1 pm  and take your questions at 1:30.  Happy to autograph your copy of Being Mystic in Touch with God and discuss all things angel, supernatural, clairvoyant, psychic, paranormal, after death communication, signs and wonders, numbers, coincidences, dreams, astral travel and any other metaphysical topic you like.

Are you as tired as I am of all the boo-hooers in Orlando, Florida and around the USA, bemoaning the fact that no death sentence was handed down 2 days ago at the C.M. Anthony murder trial?  It came as no surprise on Tuesday, July 5th, that the verdict was Not Guilty.  The key was confusing the apathetic jurors.  And the defense did just that.  Painting George Anthony as a child molester, painting Caycee as the pathological liar that she is, and her mother, Cindy Anthony stating it was she that Googled chloroform on the family computer.  One problem Cindy Anthony, you were at work the day the Google search happened at home.

This trial makes An American Family, PBS series from 1971 look like a Disney series.  And how is it that ABC owned by Disney has treated one of the jurors to a super sized Disney Vacation?  These jurors were holding out for the BBD, Bigger Better Deal.  Juror 6, a male chef, no stranger to tv lights, has hired a publicist.  Ahhh, the art of the deal.  Tell me about it.  But worst of all was that I was so looking forward to Primetime Nightline Beyond Belieft that was featuring miracle stories of the Virgin Mary.  God's Mother pre-empted by Tot Mom?  Sacre hockey pucks.  Say it ain't so Joe, but it were Moe.

It sointently were Moe, it sointently were.

How many more tv specials must I have to be bombarded with about this trial?  Isn't 3 years enough.   I think so, Moe, I think so.

Please let's put all the hype and hysteria to rest now.  But, no, of course not, there's People Magazine, the Star and National Enquirer yet to come out tomorrow.  If anything is beyond belief this is.

In the meantime I think I will chat but not online or on Face Book.  Alone asking Mother Mary when Her Son is returning to save us from ourselves.

Happy Canada Day! 144 Years Young!

And it seems like only yesterday that you were 100.  That would be 1967, but so much more has happened since then.  Expo 67 is just a happy memory.  Remember those bright shiny 1967 pennies in a small glass bottle.  Tres trendy back then.  The geodesic dome still stands on the Isle of Montreal.

Ahh, fast forward 43 years.   We have Royal visitors.  They arrived yesterday.   Yes!  Canada is all a Twitter about Prince William and his mate the Duchess of Cambridge, Katherine.   They certainly are the talk of the town (Ottawa) and of the entire nation (Canada)  on this 144th Canadian Birthday.

Toronto had to settle for Katy Perry not the Royal Kate.  No comparison.  The latter made a fashion splash donning Canadian designer duds from the Queent Street West area of our great city, Toronto.


Class and style Mrs. Middleton-Windsor exudes them both.  She's a hit with citizens and visitors alike, as is her husband, Prince William.  William brought a roar of cheers when he spoke in French and then promised to improve his language skills.  We don't mind.  We parlez-vous our best and know there is always room to improve.  We don't judge our guests.  We're se polite up here in the Great White North.

Can't wait for the fireworks tonight.  Always a good spectator sport for me.

The best thing about this long weekend?  Getting to do it all over again on Monday for the 4th of July!
